School of Arts and Sciences
SAS is one of the top ranking charter schools in the state. UC2 assisted the school with the expansion on their existing campus on Thomasville Road. The site has a 40 +/- acre offsite basin draining through the middle of the school site with an existing drainage connection to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) right of way. The project included constructing two new classroom buildings on an occupied educational facility, which included close coordination with staff for altered parent pick-up areas. The project provided for expanded bus and parent pick-up areas. Other project services included coordination with the City of Tallahassee Utilities for re-routing existing sewer main, coordination with FDOT for new driveway location and drainage connection permit. Also included was permitting through the City of Tallahassee and the NWFWMD to secure environmental permits.
